This topic lists devices that are known to support Brightcove's implementation of Google Widevine DRM.
Introduction
Brightcove offers the Widevine DRM solution, which has a an enormous deployment footprint. Widevine content can be decrypted and played on more than 1 billion devices including mobile platforms, televisions, blu-ray players, set top boxes and game consoles. Widevine’s maintains their own list of supported devices
To ensure the best experience for our customers, Brightcove regularly tests packaging and playback of Widevine videos. While Brightcove does maintain and employ a broad range of current testing hardware, it’s not feasible for us to own or test with every conceivable combination of hardware, operating system, and media player stack. However, we do work closely with many of our Widevine customers, and are often made aware of their test results.
Android
Due to the large number of permutations of Android software versions, Widevine client software versions, Media Player implementations, and device-specific pecularities in the world, an exhaustive test on Android devices is an undertaking bordering on the impossible. When device-specific issues arise, our policy is to work with our customer reporting the issue, engaging with Widevine and the device manufacturer as appropriate to attempt resolution. Below are the configurations successfully tested.

- iPad (iOS 4.3, iOS 5.0, iOS 5.1)
