As part of releasing YouTube One Channel and Google+ integration, Google has changed the way YouTube authentication works. To continue distributing videos to YouTube, an account administrator must reauthorize Video Cloud to access your YouTube account. This will enable you to take advantage of YouTube's new Google+ integration services and transparently upgrade your account to use OAuth 2.0.
All YouTube Distribution service users must reauthorize their accounts before August 31, 2013. Failure to reauthorize your account may result in authentication failures when distributing videos to your YouTube channels.
To reauthorize Brightcove’s access to YouTube, follow these steps:
- On the Video Cloud Studio Home page, click Account Settings. Note that only Video Cloud users with the Admin role can access this page.
- Click Distribution Settings.
- On the Distribution Settings page, click on the pencil (edit) icon next to a channel name.
- Click the Reauthorize Channel button.
- The Google Authorization window will display. If you are not currently signed in to Google, you will be prompted to sign in. Make sure you sign in using the Google account that created the YouTube channel.
- Click Grant Access to authorize brightcove.com to access your YouTube account.
- Repeat steps 3-6 for any additional channels you may have.
Please contact Brightcove Customer Support if you have any questions.
